When we think about cell phone networks, there are regularly the well-known few that pop into our brains and are the most popular; obviously I was thinking of 3G, 02, Orange, T-mobile and the most popular Vodafone. Compare Vodafone Deals with MobileShop.

Inaugurated in 1981 as Rascal Telecom, the firm after turned independent in the early 1991. Headquartered in Berkshire Britain; the mobile business are the largest cell phone company in the world by cell phone sales and has value in the market of more or less more than 75 billion. The mobile business has equity interests in twenty-seven nations all over 5 continents, 187 m proportionate users and more than 30 partner mobile phone networks.

For more than 20 years the retailer has been at the front of the mobile phone revolution. The mobile organisation is chosen by so many users for the reason that the mobile corporation is somewhat renowned for their pleasant service. Vodafone channels huge investments into enlarging a mobile phone network that lets all of Vodafone’s clientele dial lots of calls from more areas than any other network, at low rates and while continuing to continue supplying good quality and reliability to all there customers. In the last three years Vodafone has reduced there rates 5 times, this is the equivalent of them reducing their bills and services by half per user. The mobile business has enlarged its range of low cost mobile devices and introduced more flexible payment schemes.

Mobile technology is changing at a fast speed every month. The mobile retailer knows that their users are their main focus and therefore the mobile company feel the responsibility to make sure that the mobile phone customers can use all the services safely and confidently. What makes the retailer the most used cell phone network to use is that the mobile firm do care about what their customers think. If you do have a query there’s no need to dread calling as all their call centres can be found in the country and are able to help you find an answer to all your problems and queries wonderfully quickly. The organisation repeatedly ask their mobile phone customers about their problems of using the business as their specific mobile phone company and what they can do to make it better for their clients.

As anyone who’s ever bought a used car knows, you have to approach the project armed with your own knowledge before you even set foot on the lot. In this situation, being uninformed is tantamount to being taken to the cleaners.

The same goes for buying a sailboat. And, like automobiles, no sailboat is the same, so you should know the basics (and some particulars, as well) about the overall condition of the Sunfish sailboat you have your eye on.

The first question should always be, of course, how much cash are you willing to part with? If you plan on upgrading a used Sunfish, that alone can cost from $550 to $750 or more, depending on whether you want to use it to race. Prices also vary by location and supply; there’s no “set” price for a used Sunfish sailboat.

Then, where do you find a good used boat? Some people prefer to place their own ads (either in local newspapers or on the Internet) as opposed to responding to those already published. Many people have used Sunfish sailboats in pretty good condition but just haven’t thought of placing an ad for it. Also, check out local dealers, particularly if you’re buying out of season or if the outfit isn’t a Sunfish dealer. Also, knowing that sailboats go for less in winter and fall will put you ahead of the game.

Some obvious things that people often forget to look for are: age of the boat, which can be determined by checking the rudder, gunwales, or the serial number, if you don’t know the actual age; the weight of the hull, which should be between 115 and 130 pounds, and the resistance or lack thereof - watch out for a hull that’s too flexible.

Also, check the mast step and daggerboard trunk for hairline cracks or holes, and the condition of the bailer and storage compartment. And, the cockpit rim may be hiding some damage.

Other places to look for potential deal-breakers:
Signs of moisture in ports or drains.
Nicks or dents in the blades; splits and cracks in wooden blades.
Rudder and tiller cracks, corrosion, or pitting.
Dents or bends in the mast, near the tube.
Corrosion in the gaff and boom.
Holes or bad seams in the sail.

Never let the seller think you know as much as you do, bring plenty of cash just in case, and you’ll find a good deal on a used Sunfish sailboat.

By Michelle L. Casto, M.Ed.

Intuition is an incredible resource and gift that we have been given to help us live our best life. Unfortunately, not many people know what it is or how to use it. The word intuition means “in to you” in Latin. Florence Scovel, a theologian, once said, “Intuition is the spiritual faculty that doesn’t explain; it seemingly points the way.” It’s also been said that intuition is your divine Spirit talking to you. If you will stop for a moment and acknowledge this, you will begin to realize the incredible perspective you have at your fingertips. You have this very amazing power! And you don’t even have to get any special training to start using it. All you need to do is raise your awareness about it and set your intention to harness it.

Intuitive messages range from an inkling to a strong sign or message. Your inner self is persistent and consistent. It will keep trying to get your attention until you finally wise up! An inkling is like a glimmer or passing feeling/ thought that comes from somewhere inside and usually proceeds a hunch or intuitive message. A “hunch” is accurate information from a higher intelligence; therefore, you can rely on it. An intuitive message ranges from hearing actual words, seeing a clear picture, or a deep inner knowing. Some people experience intuition as a feeling, others a gut reaction, others will see images or have a dream, others hear an actual message. Become familiar with how your inner self communicates with you. Once you receive the message, check it out with your research and common

The best ways to get in touch with your intuition are:
1.Be quiet
Practice taking time out every day to experience silence. Calm your mind with traditional or active meditation. Release your need to think, analyze, and know everything. The best information comes from the deep recesses of your soul.
2.Be open
Open to the gift of intuition and accept what is has to tell you. Many times, our ego thinks it has it “all figured out,” but your true path may look very different than the one you are on. Being open to new possibilities and ways of living is key.
3.Be creative
There are many ways to be creative, painting, writing, dancing, designing a website, etc. Do something that helps you get into the “flow,” that place where time seems to fly by and the work is leading you. Creativity is an expression of your soul and goes hand-in-hand with intuitive guidance.
4.Ask questions
When you ask yourself questions, you gain additional insight and clarity. When you ask a question like “What is the next step I need to take?” know that you already know what you need to know. Trust yourself. You already have everything you need inside.
5.Journal
When you write, you tap into thoughts, feelings, ideas and direction that you are not consciously aware of. Writing allows the truth to come forth and is an easy way to gain insight from your inner self.

You can further develop your intuitive guidance by preparing yourself by gathering the necessary information and experiences to provide more of an opportunity for your intuition to surface. Intuition cannot be forced; you need to allow it. After loading up your mind with information about the issue, give your intuition time to work on it. And then become open to the answer. You will likely experience an “Aha” moment, which is a moment of instant awareness, where the answer sprouts from “out of the blue.”
If you have an important decision to make and are not 100% sure about something happening, stop and think before making a decision. Usually this is your intuition trying to tell you that something is not quite right. Likewise, if you feel that you should go for it, do it, so you don’t miss a valuable opportunity.
Intuition is your very own best friend. It is always there for you. It waits patiently for you. It gives the absolute best advice, and all you have to do is ask! Like any good friendship, all it takes to nurture it is a little time and attention. If you decide to be close and intimate with your intuition, I promise that your life will transform into something wonderful.

Known for its harsh winters, its many local artisans, and an abundance of hard woods unique to the area, Triberg in the Black Forest is the prime location for the production of cuckoo clocks. Even today, most of the world’s supply of cuckoo clocks still comes from Germany, mostly from the Black Forest area. There are imitators out there but beware - if it’s not from Germany or Austria it may not be a high quality, hand-carved cuckoo clock.

Today there are over 100 small companies in the area that are licensed to manufacture cuckoo clocks. The business has evolved from a winter months’ activity to a full time, year round endeavor. In fact, most of the original farms of the area have stopped producing grains and vegetables because the farmers are too busy harvesting the prized Linden wood for the manufacturing of cuckoo clocks. Only a few of these companies are large enough to sell their products overseas, and so only a few names, such as Dold, Schneider, Herr, Jaeger, Hermle and Schwab have achieved international fame as quality cuckoo clock craftsmen. Each of these companies, named after the artist who originally founded them, is known around the world as quality producers of cuckoo clocks.

Now Anton Schneider & Sons, the company founded in 1848 by Anton Schneider is in its sixth generation of Schneiders. The company employs only the most skilled craftsmen working, many of whom have been in with their company for several generations, and some of whom have worked there as long as forty years. The warehouse in Schonach, Germany is not only known for the quality of timekeeping in their cuckoo clocks, but also for the artistic nature of the individual pieces. Schneider cuckoo clocks are prized for their music and dancing figures as well as for larger, more intricate moving scenes. Their production has surpassed more than 300 different mechanical models to date, all of which carry their imprint on the clock dial.

Probably the most famous seller of cuckoo clocks is the German
company River City Cuckoo Clocks. While American distributors sometimes use the name River City, the original company is located in the Black Forest of Germany and serves as a one-stop wholesaler for many different brands of cuckoo clocks, of only the highest quality produced in the area.

What an experience! I’ve spent the last month looking for sales professionals with some astonishing results. I have distilled my favorites in the following “top ten” list. Use any of them to make unquestionably certain you won’t find a job.
1. Don’t bother to read my ad carefully.
After all, I didn’t list those qualifications for an important reason. What’s genuinely important is to get a certain number of resumes out the door. Then you can moan about how you sent out 500 resumes and got zero responses.
2. Send me a note ordering me to call you “ASAP.”
Don’t bother giving me a valid reason to call you. Your unmitigated arrogance will send me scurrying to the telephone immediately.
3. Don’t bother having a resume ready to go.
I’m not actually interested in your qualifications, so it will be fine to keep me waiting days for your resume. I love to waste time.
4. Don’t bother to follow my instructions.
I didn’t really mean it when I asked applicants to send their resumes to a specific address. After all, I live to interrupt my work to answer your call.
5. Send your resume under someone else’s name.
Why would I assume it’s someone else’s resume when you’ve put their name on it? Silly me!
6. Include an objective that tells me you have no interest in my company.
My all-time favorite career objective . . .”a job where I can make a lot of money fast.” Hmm, the jobs I know of that provide “a lot of money fast” often include the possibility of spending time in jail. Otherwise, you might have to contribute something to your employer and make money a bit more slowly.
7. Don’t bother to check your resume for spelling and grammar.
After all, spelling and grammar are important only to fossils. It’s your innate brilliance that will dazzle me!
8. Don’t visit my website, and, above all, don’t learn anything about my company.
You have told me quite clearly that you are laser-focused . . . on yourself. What more could I want?
9. Make sure your telephone isn’t answered.
I have nothing better to do than to try over and over to reach you by phone (assuming you put your phone number in your resume). You just know I’ll keep trying!
10. Don’t bother to send me a thank you note.
After all, it was to my benefit to spend time talking with you. Those old-fashioned courtesies are just a waste of everyone’s time. Aren’t they?
There you have it - my top ten list of things to do to be sure you won’t find a job. Of course, if you really want to find employment. . .

“Champagne wishes and caviar dreams…”

Most of us yearn for wealth and fame, and yet secretly believe
that those commodities are beyond our reach — that they are
reserved for others, not us.

What if I told you that most of the rich and famous people in
the world became rich and famous simply because they knew how to
ethically influence the media? And what if I told you that if
you could learn their publicity secrets, wealth and fame are
yours for the asking?

The truth is, there is no method more powerful or less costly
for creating fame or fortune than publicity

Publicity starts with a news release. The news release is one
of the world’s best marketing tools, but is also that wretched
thing that often shatters the hopes of all who dare to seek
publicity. But stick with me and I’ll show you how to get the
upper hand that will put you far ahead of all others who have
tried and failed.

Most experienced business people have a story to tell about
their attempts at getting publicity — and it always ends with the
same question: “Why do I even bother?”

The fact is that millions of dollars worth of publicity is
available to anyone who knows how to get it.
The sobering fact that 90% or more of the news
releases received by editors end up in the trash.
Nothing annoys busy editors more than news releases that
are poorly written. More particularly, there are 3 mistakes –
and these are serious, fatal errors that most people make with
news releases.

1) Your news releases talk about you too much. They say me, me,
me — or my product, my product, my product.

2) Your news releases are an advertisement. They sell, sell, sell.

3) You’re sending your news releases to the wrong media.

Okay, so you’ve made some or all of these mistakes at one time
or another. But don’t worry, it’s not just you. Most people
fail to focus on the needs of the editor. They don’t create
information that is aimed at the editor’s audience. So they
fail to get the editor’s attention, and ultimately fail to get
publicity.

How then can you make sure that your news release does not end
up as a statistic?

Your product can then ride on the strength of the news angle.
Use the soft sell approach so that your news release will not be
regarded as an advertisement.

Study the PR campaigns of those who have been extremely
successful at getting publicity. Study their news releases to
find elements that you can emulate for your purposes. Find out
the media targets they sent their releases to.

It is immensely easier, faster, and less expensive to learn,
model, and achieve success by following in the footsteps of
those who have been successful than it is to learn how to
succeed by trial and error. Don’t buy into publicity theory. Go
with the hard facts — those strategies that have been proven to
work.

Amos Tamam’s Big Idea

Amos Tamam is the businessman who figured out how to put the credit card and the taxi cab together. Mr. Tamam received a patent for a system that allows people to pay cab fare with the swipe of a credit card. Mr. Tamam says his invention not only makes it more convenient for taxi riders to pay for their ride. His system also has another big benefit.

Mr. Tamam’s system uses a conventional taxi meter connected to a credit card reader and a wireless modem. The modem links the system to the credit card’s financial institution, where the account is authenticated and the charge approved. The system, which will accept credit, debit, smart or private banking cards, would also have a receipt printer. This means that taxi riders who leave briefcases, laptops or cellphones in their cab can look at their receipt and quickly identify the cab in which they lost their property.

The fare for distance traveled plus idling time would be displayed on the meter, as is the usual practice in most taxi fleets. In places like Washington, where fares are calculated by travel in or between geographic zones, the driver and passenger would agree on the stated charge. Any tolls or other charges like those for extra luggage could be added to the total. The passenger or the driver would then swipe the rider’s card through the card reader. The passenger could use a keyboard to add a tip to the total fare. ”The approval or denial from the financial institution typically takes less than 10 seconds,” Mr. Tamam says. Once the charge is approved, the printer will provide a receipt of the fare and tip, along with other transaction data that could prove useful.

The typical lanyard is a length of basic rope, wire, or cloth that is designed to secure a small object. They are often purchased in large quantities and are fairly inexpensive. Many employees wear lanyards around their neck to secure identification badges while on the job.

Beaded lanyards can be as basic as an inexpensive metallic, beaded chain. They can be ordered through most typical lanyard suppliers and feature a variety of hardware attachments to secure small objects. These lanyards are often in several different lengths and an array of colors.

Other beaded lanyards are quite unique and are referred to by some as jewelry. They are designed by skilled artisans and can be extremely expensive depending upon the type of materials used. The cost of a beaded lanyard depends on the type of beads and wire used in its design. Beaded lanyard patterns may consist of colorful patterns of seed beads, glass beads, crystals, or even gemstones.

The most popular beaded lanyards are used to secure eyeglasses or sunglasses around the neck. They attach to the temples of the glasses, allowing them to hang around the neck when not in use. These exquisite neck lanyards are often referred to as eyeglass necklaces or eyeglass holders. They are a fashionable way to keep track of an item that can be easily misplaced or damaged. Beaded lanyards allow the wearer the freedom to easily put on and remove glasses frequently throughout the day.

Many bead artisans also offer jewelry pieces to coordinate with beaded lanyards. The beaded lanyard patterns are often duplicated in a bracelet, anklet, or pair of earrings.

One drawback of the beaded lanyard is that they are often fragile. They may look elegant but also may not have the durability of a nylon or cotton lanyard when worn frequently.

As financial aid award letters begin to arrive mid April, college hopefuls realize a letter of acceptance is only the first step in deciding which school they will attend in the fall. Now is the time to compare award letters and make those extra appl
As financial aid award letters begin to arrive mid April, college hopefuls realize a letter of acceptance is only the first step in deciding which school they will attend in the fall. A student who applies to six colleges can receive a different award package from each school. The all- important award letter spells out exactly what type and how much financial assistance will be extended.

Many parents and students assume, based on federal regulation, they will get the same basic award from each school. But, that is far from the truth. So, what do you do when your top choice school doesn’t offer top dollar?

Start thinking like the Colleges and Universities. They recognize students as customers and the stiff competition for your business. And, so should you. Since private colleges are not mandated by state government they can offer special ‘discounts’ to compete with the lower cost of subsidized schools. Institutions are often more willing to match awards than lose an accepted student due to financial reasons.

Now is the time to compare award letters and make those extra application fees pay off. Approximately15% of families appeal, 2/3 of whom get an improved aid package of a $2000 average increase. If the first choice school doesn’t allot as much as the 2nd, 3rd or even, 6th place school that is a legitimate basis for an awards appeal.

Here are 4 suggestions for submitting a competitive appeal.

1. Speak up - Once an offer of admissions is extended it cannot be taken back, Remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil.

 2. Officially submit the request -Write a letter requesting an aid reevaluation that also expresses your pleasure at being accepted and your interest in attending.

 3. Provide justification - Include a copy of the highest award letter and ask if they can improve your package.

4. Follow -up - Seven to ten business days after sending the letter call the admissions counselor handling your file directly to personalize and prioritize your request.
